With life and love taking up so much time, it can be hard to find the
time to hang out with the girls that have been in your corner for
years. This is why I chose to do a post on how to throw an exciting and
memorable girls night in!
Depending on the type of girlfriends that you have, there may be certain
activities that you and your friends may enjoy more than others; that's
why I will be including several of ideas in the next couple of posts
that will appeal to all tastes so that you and your group of friends the
best. That being said, let's get this party started!
Fashion Week: Clothing Swap and Martini Party:
You don't have to wait until September to enjoy the joys of fashion week, it can happen anytime during the year with your favorite girls. This is what I call the new "glam" girls night in because it encompasses everything couture. Fashion, fun, and free flowing alcohol, who could ask for more?

Tips on throwing a memorable Fashion Week Clothing Swap Party:
Food:Serve finger foods that will be light and non-messy. There are clothes involved after all. Some snack ideas would be a fruit and vegetable platter, cheese and cracker platter, prosciutto wrapped melon, sushi, etc. Be creative! :)
Drinks:
Serve exotic and edgy drinks that will have your friends talking for weeks. Here are a couple of ideas below:
Pineapple Upside-Down Cake Martini The Milky Way Martini The S'Mores Martini

Note: It is also probably a good idea to have a couple of bottles of wine on hand for later in the evening when you are tired of playing bartender.

Make sure that you have a party mix created and playing before your friends arrive to get them in the fashionista mood. Also, make sure to have the appetizers and some drinks already made and on display so that they can come in and get the party started. Have different tables (if available) for your guests to display the items that they have brought to swap.
Decor:
Have fun with it! Create decorations that make you and your friends feel chic and fashionable! Go for a "Paris" theme and display all things Paris Fabulous. Have various fashion magazines throughout the location so that you can the feel of a boutique. Another idea is to go online and locate your favorite designer, pull up their fashion show for the year, and have it playing in the background of your desktop or laptop. Also, make sure that there are plenty of mirrors available for your friends to view their chosen fashions, and to keep your bathroom from being bombarded with people. You can even create a D.I.Y. changing room so that your guests don't have to wait in line to try on their clothes. (See Blog Titled How To Make a Dressing Room).
